We are excited to announce the launch of a brand new website for Latanick Equipment, Inc., a family owned custom machining and fabrication shop based in Huron, Ohio. Latanick has been building industrial equipment for food processing, packaging, and specialty manufacturers since 1973, with more than 50 years of engineering depth and an A+ BBB rating to show for it.

Their previous site was a decade old and read like a brochure. When we tested it against ChatGPT and Perplexity, neither AI assistant could find or cite them when prospects asked about custom fabricators in Northern Ohio. A 50 year old shop with a national customer base was invisible to the way procurement teams now search.

We rebuilt the entire site in 3 days, for under $2,000, and shipped it with the full AEO stack on day one.

What We Shipped

Eleven public pages, one dedicated product page for their proprietary WATT Telescoping Valves line, and a private password protected admin portal for day to day shop operations.

  • Home. Hero, capability summary, and primary CTAs.
  • About. The 50 year company story and engineering team.
  • Services. Custom design, fabrication, and machining.
  • Industries Served. Food processing, packaging, specialty manufacturing.
  • Project Gallery. Photo grid of fabricated equipment.
  • Equipment List. In house mills, lathes, welders, and shop capacity.
  • Careers. Open roles and an apprenticeship pathway.
  • FAQ. 20 questions in a semantic HTML accordion.
  • Request a Quote. Lead form with project specs and timeline.
  • WATT Telescoping Valves. Dedicated product page for their proprietary line.
  • Admin Portal. Password protected, excluded from the sitemap, and blocked in robots.txt.

The 3 Day Timeline

Day 1: Discovery and Architecture

A 90 minute on site session with the owner and lead engineer. AI assisted competitor research across a dozen Midwest fabrication shops. Eleven page architecture mapped and approved by the end of the day.

Day 2: Content and Build

AI drafted every page in about seven hours from the interview audio and project files, with engineer review on a same day video call. Built on a modern AI friendly framework that ships fully rendered HTML on every page, which is critical because AI crawlers do not execute JavaScript. Hundreds of phone photos were enhanced with AI for consistent lighting and placed with descriptive alt text.

Day 3: AEO, Local SEO, and Launch

Every page got unique title and meta description tags, canonical links, and Open Graph and Twitter Card tags. We added sitewide JSON-LD ManufacturingBusiness schema with full NAP, geo coordinates, hours, founding date, service area, and aggregate rating. WebSite schema with SearchAction. FAQPage schema covering 20 questions. Plus llms.txt, robots.txt, an auto generated sitemap, semantic h1/h2/h3 hierarchy, and a native HTML accordion FAQ. We built and verified a Google Business Profile aligned to the new site, then pushed live.

The Launch Day AEO Checklist

  • Static server rendered HTML on every page
  • ManufacturingBusiness JSON-LD schema
  • WebSite schema with SearchAction
  • FAQPage schema covering 20 questions
  • Per page Open Graph and Twitter Card tags
  • Canonical links and an auto generated sitemap
  • robots.txt and llms.txt
  • Native HTML accordion so FAQ content lives in the DOM
  • Semantic h1/h2/h3 hierarchy
  • Google Business Profile claimed and verified

Most agencies skip everything below the first three items. We do not, because that is the part that determines whether an AI engine can actually read, understand, and cite the business.

What This Cost vs. a Traditional Agency

Latanick had a prior quote from a conventional industrial marketing agency in the high four figures, with a six week timeline. Here is how that compares.

We Stay After Launch

Launching a site is the starting line, not the finish line. We monitor AI citation behavior across ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews. We watch Google Business Profile performance in local results. We refine FAQ content based on what prospects are actually asking. We update structured data as the business evolves.

AI search is not static. A site that gets cited today can fade in months if no one is paying attention.

Why This Matters for Industrial and Manufacturing Businesses

Two things changed in the last 18 months. AI tools matured to the point of producing professional output when directed by experienced operators. Generic AI content reads like generic AI content. Properly directed AI content reads like an engineer wrote it.

Search itself changed too. Procurement teams ask AI assistants for vendor recommendations instead of paging through directories. If your site is not built to be cited, you are invisible to a growing share of qualified buyers.

If you run a manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial services business and your site is more than a few years old, it is almost certainly invisible to AI search. We can fix that in a week. Get in touch to talk about your site, or run a free AEO score to see where you stand today.
